right?Like, oh my God.Mm-hmm.I felt like I went through a lot of changes last night as I was going through SmackDown with my thoughts and my feelings.Mm-hmm.So it was, it, you know, it was an experience.How did you feel about SmackDownWell, I will say I was surprised.I did not see that one coming from Mr. Randy Orton.Did you?I did not see that one coming.I really s- thought it was Stephanie.Really thought it was Stephanie, 'cause it just made sense.You felt like- You know, that's why she came out.You know what I'm saying?That would make sense, you know what I mean?But I will say, what to me stole the night was Trick and his one-liners, calling him a gingerbread and ginger ale.Yeah.And then, and then I was just, like, looking at his Pepper Seppas, and I was just like, "Y'all it remind me of something."But then when I went to try to find it, I was like, "Maybe I'm not really sure if that really reminded me of that.Maybe it was what I thought it reminded me of" But, you know.It was a lot of thoughts and feelings.It, you know, there were a lot of thoughts and feelings, but I also feel like beyond my thoughts and feelings, there was just so much more than I expected.I think I was just ultimately really disappointed, um- Mmat the fact that- Very disappointedWrestleMania isYeah, WrestleMania is 2 weeks away, and this is where we are.This is where we are.So yeah, I was a bit disappointed, and there's nowhere to start that's better than this.So let's start this one off 'cause,Now that I've learned my new tricks here, I can, I can show you my disappointment in complete and utter format because I really sat there.I will take you, you know, screen by screen because after all, there was just really moment to behold.Let's start here.Let's and then here goes Pat McAfee, who we haven't seen for- I wanna say almost a year.Definitely over 6 months I don't know.Definitely over 6 months, for sure.It's hard for me to say when we exactly saw him, but- Mmwe do know he recently had an interview, and he said, basically, "Yeah, I, I am about to be back.Um, y'all done moved on without me, and I could just move on too."And I thought, "Yes!"Welcome, welcome.Welcome, welcome.Hi, good morning.Good morning, good morning.So yeah, nah.So I thought, "Oh, okay.So here we go."Um, and then Pat we doing low blows now?We, we kicking people in expected.And in my notes I wrote, "How do I feel about this?"It's like I had to sit down, like I was with my therapist, and try to figure out, like- Mmhow do I feel about seeing Pat McAfee on my screen right now?And so the first thing I wrote, I was like, "Mm, don't know yet.Let's let him keep talking."Mm.And then I was like- Yeahwas he trying to be the voice of the audience, right?Because we're always complaining- Mm,online.And I was like, is this Triple H's moment to say like, "Let me give the audience a voice by making it Pat McAfee"?Well, I could be down with that because clearly we are unhappy.And Pat went down his run-through on why we are clearly unhappy.Last week's SmackDown was the lowest ever.Mm-hmm.Quote, unquote.I cannot approve or deny of these claims 'cause I didn't look it up.I don't know.And so we are clearly disenfranchised with Cody because the one thing that was really notable to me is whatever happened to Cody, the fans was real happy about.They was real- Good morning.Good morning.They was happy.Mm-hmm.They was cheeringThey was cheering the whole time, and I needed a moment because I was like, "So we, we, we collectively agree we don't F with Cody no more?"Yep.Absolutely, Ariel.100%.Um, what's happening?What is happening?Have we all officially turned on Cody at this time?Do we just- Well, I mean, he's been-uncomfy with him and we don't F with him Foreign Adam Pearce.was in stitches listening to Pat.But do you feel like they needed it?That's my question.Did this feud need Pat McAfee or something, is my question.That's what I wanna know.Like, how did you feel it was going 2 weeks out from WrestleMania?I mean, ultimately what Pat said, the WrestleMania tickets are still not sold out.So now you guys are pulling at strings, 'cause we're gonna get on the other topic of why there was Lil Yachty.I don't understand.We're getting sensory overload of too many celebrities, 'cause you're trying to do too much to get us to be invested.And I'm not saying I'm not invested in this match, but I will be annoyed if Cody wins.You understand what I'm saying?Mm-hmm.Yes Like don't get me so invested and then you still screw people over.It's almost like when Vince threw Bret Hart over.You think so?Yeah.Because if we're thinking about how they're building these things up, right?N- and I also wanna say, I felt, I felt like last year they did the same thing, they started building it up faster within the next, the like the 2 weeks or whatever.Like the last 2 weeks they started building and making things faster and trying to get you to do, but by that time, technically y'all was sold out, so I didn't, likey'all were just trying to fumble.But right now, y'all are trying to pull everything out, and bringing Pat back, like you said, is like maybe it's our voices because they're literally sitting here saying, 1, your tickets not being sold out, uh, we are kind of tired of Cody because Cody is not turning heel at any point in time.You've given us dibbles and dabbles of maybe he'll turn heel, and then you take it right back and, and, and, and say, "Nah, I'm still a good guy."For what?'Cause every good guy eventually gets fed up, and then think you're absolutely right in that the audience is sick of Cody.I'm almost at the point, like we were upset that Cody got the belt back in the first place.You could've gave me Drew and Randy, and I would've been really excited aboutAnd I feel like that's where it should've gone ultimately.typically with the champion, that's what they say.Roman said this all the time, like when he was a champion they was selling out, they was doing this, they was doing that, and now we're seeing a little backlash.But I definitely think there's reasons why.It feels very greedy, it feels very money-hungry.Y'all forgetting we at war?Like we got a lot going on from the price perspective.And flying out to Vegas, paying for these tickets, paying for the insane meet and greets, paying for your name on the ring so you can get a plaque, 'cause they gonna cut it out at the end of WrestleMania, I guess night one or 2.Paying to get on Cody's bus to the tune of a car is crazy.But this is what it's starting to feel like.It's starting to feel very greedy, and I think people are responding to that.I also agree, like you said, that the overload with the celebrities, like we always have celebrities going to WrestleMania.But we've been doing too much.Like this is too-too-much at this point.I actually don't mind Pat, because, like Pat has a history with us, right?But Lil Yachty, what, what you doing real mean.He just brought him out of nowhere.Yeah, this justWe gon- we gonna just bring up Disco Inferno.But what did you think about this moment, Taneisha?'Cause when he came back, I was like, "Oh, so we, are we turning heel or, like, are we just throwing a tantrum?"And I'm confused.Tell me what you got.He could've said all of that after he had to come back outside.He could've been like, "Where Randy at?"And found him and beat his ass.Oh, that's right, 'cause he left.But, um, he could've been on a mission.That's true.He could've been on a mission.He could've got in the car and been like, "I'mMeet me outside.It's on sight.When I see you, it's on sight.Meet me outside.Where you at?I'm rolling around your hood."Or pull up in front of his house."I'm here.Are you here?'Cause your family's still there.Where you at?"Like, you know?That's how you let people know you mad.To me, he was just throwing a tantrum.I would, as a parent, I would've just looked at him like, "Are you done?'Cause we are now recognizing there were some mistakes made.But I would argue, is this all Cody's fault or is there some creative to be responsible for this?Is thereI think the lack of story itself has caused some of this too, because technically they really didn't give Cody a good run the first time.I'm just not sure why we went back to do this again leading into WrestleMania.Did you think Cody was gonna sell these tickets more than Drew?Because I would argue Drew's character has been on fire, so I don't think so.That's what I think anyway.All right, here you go, Faith.Cody attacking Kate is what cross road characters do.Hmm.Yeah, he also did say he was finally listening to the voices.You right, I piece.Sorry.I don't know.My overall situation with this, can we lean in?Can weI'm actually going to tell you conclusively, I kinda enjoy this Pat McAfee of it all, and I think it's a good idea to have Pat McAfee in here because maybe he can mix it up a little bit more because clearly something's not resonating with the audience.And I also think the fact that Cody is just ignoring the fact that people don't seem to like him, it's weird.We're gonna do the AEW thing where we pretend we don't hear the boos and, like, we don't care what happens to you.It's just such a weird situation to find yourselfif Pat can, like, save this somehow, I'd be down.The fact that he has to though is a bit of a problem because Randy and Cody should be able to sell on its own.Those 2 characters are diametrically, like, linked, and so they really should have been able to build this exciting story with them.really should have been able to build this exciting story with them.Maybe it's because we have all these random events in the middle that cause problems.And so we have a hard time building stories up to the big events because this is supposed to be their Super Bowl.So this should have been in the works for a longAll right, Candace, you're saying it's not his fault.Girl, don't know that.I think it's just his fault.And what they did to Julia, you're right.You're right.You're right there.Amen.Amen.What she just said here.This is all the fault of management allowing top talent to control their stories instead of keeping it in the hands of creative.But I have a question for you, Faith.Well, you know, I'm going to, I'm going to beg to differ because they don't do that for everybody.And okay.I get it.Top talent, but look what letting Naomi do for her, uh, story did, right?It brought her and it, the storytelling brought.I just think some people are not good storytellers, but creatives should already have, you're supposed to be working with the talent, not just taking their thing.Like you're supposed to be like, all right, this is what you want to do.Okay.I can add this to you.So you may not be ready to turn heel, but I think you should because of this, this, this, this, and this, because Randy's going to bring something out of you.Like, I just think yes and no.Like it's a, it's, it's a double-headed sword because there are some people who out here who can control their narrative really well.And there's some who don't.And I just think Cody right now is in such a weird spot because he doesn't want to turn heel, but your actions are saying that you should turn heel by this time because now you're doing too much.I hear what you're saying.Yes.I do think Naomi didn't necessarily control her story.I think she controlled her character.She was able to like create this character that got the fans invested right now.I think you're right.Cody's at this bit of a stale spot right now.What's he going to do about that?I don't know, but I am also over the fact that nothing's being done about it.Like this little flicker of Cody, does that mean that we're going to get a little bit more granular and greedy?Like where is Cody's character going?I said this last year, he's at a crossroads for his character and he needs to pick a side.Like you can't serve 2 masters.You know what I'm saying?Like you can't be Cody who has this like big vocabulary.He likes to get people drunk on his bus.Everybody loves him.Good times.Right.But be kind of out of touch with what the audience is interested in.So it's like, I'm going to throw this tantrum, but then I'm also going to pretend all is well and not really address the fundamentals of it.Like that's a problem for me.All right.I see you.I am also sick of them talking about ticket sales, Faith.Like it is, it is their problem.No one told them to go back to Vegas this year.If you had gone to New Orleans, maybe you would have sold out just saying no one told them to do that.So, you know, business decisions are business decisions.Think next time do different.You know what I'm saying?Here we go.You know what?Triple H wanted Cody to turn heel.Yeah.That would have been a whole thing.He could have even turned heel at the beginning of this year.He could have even used that Drew story to turn heel because I feel like that's the catalyst.Right.And here we are.We need this white meat baby face, but the fans don't care for it.And that did not work for John Cena.So I'm just saying, we're going to pretend this is not in their hands.You are so right, Faith.I 100% agree with you that they ran too long for this.And he hasn't, there's no new dimensions.There's no new changes.There's nothing that makes me more invested in Cody.There's no Brandy.There's no nothing.We're just kind of stuck here with this version of Cody where even his tantrum feels off.It's like, he doesn't feel like a real person.And that's a problem.As, as a character that we all kind of need to identify with, we don't.You identify with a Drew, you identify with a Randy.He has elements and dimensions and areas that he leans into where Cody comes out every week, talking about what you want to talk about.And we don't want to talk about nothing with you at this point.Like we tired of talking to you unless you show us a new side.So I think they need to figure out how to dig deeper or you're going to continue seeing this become a problem.You know what I did appreciate though?Because I don't want to keep preaching bad might've been at The Breakfast Club.I don't really remember.But either way, she had an interview where she was, like, shouting out a lot of the Black talent.Um, she was talking about her experiences, why she skipped, um, NXT.She said Triple H felt like she learned, and she did, all she did at AEW would've been equivalent to what happened at NXT, which I strongly disagree with, but that's what was said.was said.But then she also got into the baddies of it all, and why we are not, exactly, why we are not calling them baddies, exactly.Candice.So we're not calling them this because the powers that be, whoever, don't see it as a viable kind of strategy.Whereas Jade pointed out that there is, like, a market for this.If you bring beautiful women to the shows, then men are gonna wanna be near them, right?potentially it could sell more tickets and draw more eyes.You can see the correlation and the opportunities with promotions like a Maybelline or she says sugar daddies, but I don't know what that is, so I'm not gonna lie.Question mark.she had a whole marketing strategy in her head about this, and I think it makes so much sense the way that she laid it out that I hope that they do give her a chance.Now, maybe you don't wanna call them baddies, call them something else, but I love this because it did actually work at AEW, and it still is with the Andrade of it all, by the way, 'cause we don't wanna be in that front row where he could give you the number.We starting to see lots of people doing that.Anyway, this match was really good.I liked it.I thought they did a great job.I thought Michin finally had his time to shine with Rhea, and she looked very, very good in this match.I also think Jade's faction was cemented a lot more here in that they, they felt threatening, and Jade felt it too.I said Jade felt it too as she, uh, hit Miss Rhea.That was just an experience.But also that yellow, yes, ma'am, all y'all was giving gorgeous yesterday.But I thought it was a good match.I appreciate it.I know EO sugar daddies is the candy.Y'all know I don't approve.I don't eat sugar.I thought it was sugar baby.Anyway, we just gonna ignore Carrie Watson.Anyway, so thought this was good.I was thinking about something else, and I was like, "I don't think that's the crowd they want."But then again, you know what?I could take a sugar daddy here or, here or there.Sure.You want some feels weird that we're 2 weeks out, and this is where we are in the story still.I feel like we should've been further.We should've been more invested.It should be, like, exciting, but I'm not sure that I'm feeling that same excitement that I have in years past regarding.I mean- YeahLet's see.What else we gotta cover?Oh, sheesh.Don't worry.We're gonna get to the main event in a minute.But- Can like,can go wrong?"It's not like he's really gonna be a part of the match, so yeah, tag him.Y'all pray for me too, Faith.I'm trying, I'm trying to work it out.Enough, enough, enough more sugar.Okay, we're working on that.But yeah, no, this was delightful.Give me a Danhausen any day.He's so funny.And then when he ran back, like, to the top of the, like, ramp, and he looks back at them, I'm like, magic.He is so good, so smart, his comedy works, and give me more of Danhausen.And I don't know if you saw the back scene shenanigans with him, and Bayley, and Lyra, and he gave them hats from New York.And he was like, "Yes.For you, for me.Take picture.Take picture."And then he said, "You can give it back now."He took all the stuff back and was like, "Since you won't let me tag with you and get rid of Lyra for WrestleMania," and I was like, "That's crazy."love him.I think it was so good, so delicious.IGive me all of the Dan Has- Danhausen any day because laughing, and I did enjoy that segment deeply.Don't worry, just 2 more things.But it's not even that, it was just the fact that the ref, as he's counting to 3, he goes, "Oh, no.cramp.I don't know.I can't use thisAh."I mean- And, with this storyline with Trick and Mello, and how we ended up here, but I do hope that they find a way to elevate Sammy the right way.I think this has been building for him to be a heel for a long time.I think this is the moment to have pulled that trigger.I absolutely agree with Tanisha that it would have made way more sense for Sammy to be the one behind all of the shenanigans and the attacks on J and Jacob, or Cody at this point.I mean, like somebody gotta, somebody gotta take responsibility for this.Y'all need some new detectives.Y'all need to hire somebody from Law & Order, because this
