Monday Night Raw Recap: The Ruler, The Nightmare, and The Tribal Heir

Monday Night Raw Recap: The Ruler, The Nightmare, and The Tribal Heir

If you thought the fallout from WrestleMania would be quiet, you haven't been paying attention. Las Vegas stayed red-hot as Raw ushered in a new era of dominance and drama. Here is how the night unfolded, minute-by-minute.

The Ruler’s Proclamation

The night kicked off with the powerhouse Oba Femi making a statement without saying much at all. Dressed in a sharp suit that screamed "Champion," the man who seemingly retired Brock Lesnar at Mania stepped into the ring and offered just four words: "The Ruler has arrived." He dropped the mic and left. If that isn't big energy, I don't know what is.

Women’s Division Fireworks

We moved straight into the action with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky taking on The Kabuki Warriors. Before the bell, Asuka had some choice words for Iyo regarding her "devotion" to Rhea—and honestly? She had a point. Despite the tension, Rhea and Iyo pulled off the win, but the aftermath was cold. Asuka was visibly frustrated with Kairi, leaving fans wondering: is the pirate ship sinking?

A "Best in the World" Conversation

CM Punk made his way out to a crowd that didn't know whether to cheer or boo. He got personal, mentioning his dog Larry and his wife, while subtly jabbing at Jey Uso’s "Yeet" catchphrase. However, the vibe shifted when Cody Rhodes emerged. Cody, looking like he’d been through the Randy Orton grinder, had an intense face-off with Punk. Cody even managed to roast Roman’s Ula Fala, calling it a "sweet pepper necklace." The respect is there, but the competitive fire is definitely flickering.

New Faces and Opportunists

We saw the official Raw debut of "All Ego" Ethan Page, who took on the young standout Je'Von Evans. Evans was clearly still hurting from the weekend’s ladder match, and a distraction from Rusev allowed Page to snag the win. Rusev continued the beatdown after the match until Penta made the save. It looks like Page and Rusev are forming a dangerous, "ego-heavy" alliance.

Liv Morgan’s "Celebration"

Liv Morgan came out to celebrate her title win, only to be interrupted by the debuting Sol Ruca. Sol called Liv an inspiration but wasn't afraid to step up. A match was made on the spot, and while Sol looked incredible, Zaria appeared out of nowhere to attack her while the ref was distracted. The chaos didn't end there, as Stephanie Vaquer made her presence known with a chilling stare-down of the champion.

The Vision and The Return

Paul Heyman was visibly emotional discussing Brock Lesnar’s alleged retirement, but his focus soon shifted to The Vision (Logan Paul and IShowSpeed). The "influencer heat" was off the charts, especially when Heyman told the crowd he was sick of outsiders invading the industry; it was Dominik-level heat. Things turned physical when Bron Breakker returned and was confronted by a furious Seth Rollins. Just as Seth was about to take a chair-assisted beating, The Street Profits made a massive return! Montez and Dawkins looked in the best shape of their lives as they cleared the ring.

The Main Event: A Tribal Challenge

The show closed with Roman Reigns appearing alongside the Usos. The family reunion was cut short by Jacob Fatu, who didn't come out to acknowledge the Tribal Chief—he came to challenge him. Jacob made it clear: he wants the title and the power. Roman, calm as ever, questioned if Jacob could handle "the weight of the sun," telling him they’d settle it next week.

We’re officially back in the Bloodline trenches. If next week is anything like the Jey Uso saga, we better start stockpiling the tissues now. Either way, I'm excited for this matchup and hoping Jacob has the fire to outlast the Tribal Chief’s "center of the universe" energy.

Jacob Fatu just did the unthinkable by coming for the Tribal Chief's crown on night one. Do you think Roman Reigns is right to be calm, or is Fatu the one man who can actually handle 'the weight of the sun'? Let me know your predictions for next week in the comments!
